Standing Ovation - Student / Teacher achievements

The Masterless Men has just enjoyed a sell out concert at the arts and culture centre with the release of their new Christmas CD with the Masterless Men", this CD contains many songs that are refreshing and not worn out by radio stations and song books, the CD can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Costco, Chapters, and other fine retailers.

Un grand Bonjour de Saint Pierre et Miquelon!

I wish to announce "Sincère Félicitations!" to a little violin student of mine, Elise Claireaux, who won the Silver Medal of Distinction from the RCM with a mark of 90% in the Grade I violin exam. I am very proud of her and of my other eight piano/violin students from Saint Pierre, all of whom took the RCM exams for the very first time (grades I to V) and all of whom passed with honours.
As an update, some of my former music students are Heidi Price, who took over my former position as music teacher when I retired; Lisa Pearson who is finishing her Education studies at M.U.N. and who plans to teach music at least part time; and Stephanie Lundrigan, who has finished her music degree at M.U.N. and is interning at St. Theresa's School.

  A Bientot et
Bonne Journée

"The string students of Caryl Clark performed Christmas carols for patients and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Janeway. This is now their third year doing this, and it has become an eagerly anticipated event. In addition to playing in the HSC lobby and in small groups on the 4th floor, they were invited to participate in the children's special Christmas concert.

The annual Christmas food bank recital was also a delightful success. Piano and violin students performed a variety of seasonal solos and ensemble favourites. The 22-piece orchestra included the children and adult violin students, and a former student on cello. We are grateful to the School of Music for the use of the Recital Hall and the grand piano!"
